University of Huelva: the Campus “El Carmen”
The main campus of the Univertity of Huelva is “El Carmen”. It is a modern campus built on an ancient military headquarter.
This campus is located between Avenues Andalucía and Las Fuerzas Armadas. It is the largest campus of the University of Huelva and where the University Schools of Social Work and Nursing are located, in addition to the Faculties of Educational Sciences, Law, Humanities, Labor Sciences and Experimental Sciences (among which studies the Degree in Geology is included). This campus is also equipped with three modern classrooms.
The buildings are arranged along an extensive landscaped boulevard. In which there is also a university sports center, the general university restaurant and the meeting building.
The Campus can be accessed from any point in the city using regular buses in approximately 10-15 minutes.
Jacobo del Barco Building
MAIN CONFERENCE HALL: AULA MAGNA JACOBO DEL BARCO
The building is named after an 18th century scientist originally from Huelva.
It is a building constituted by two paired rectangular naves joined by a central space with a circular plan. It consists of a large classroom with 458 seats and 10 smaller classrooms with between 50 and 100 seats.
